Hello everybody,

Forgive me if I offend anybody with this post, but I hope by sharing this it will be of benefit to others and also that I may get some useful feedback. The title is probably misleading as I don't know anything about sex magick - at least not in the occult sense!! 

Between late May until mid July I had been having an incredible amount of OBE's, lucid dreams, clairaudient/telepathic communication and I had been finding meditation effortless.

From late July onward, activity has declined significantly and I was beginning to wonder whether I was going to enter another spiritual drought.

At the same time, I had been becoming aware that I was increasingly horny. Being honest, I was getting horny to the point of it becoming not just a distraction, but a nuisance. Over the past few years I've become increasingly concerned and angry with myself about my burgeoning sexual appetite and my ability to objectify every woman my eyes catch sight of. This happens unconsciously, a habit formed in my teens and early twenties that I deeply wish to be rid of.

I suppose I have been content to just accept this part of me as a natural side effect of being an animal with a genetic drive to procreate - which to a great extent is true.

However, this week I began to wonder whether there was a link between the increase in my sexual activity, or to be completely frank, the number of orgasms experienced and the decrease in spiritual activity?

I found a few websites that suggest that unfettered sexual activity drains an individual of spiritual energy and so I am going to commence an experiment where I will gradually (for safety) reduce the number of times I ejaculate per month to just once:

August - 4
September - 2
October - 1


I'll update this thread once per month - if I've not combusted. My target for August is going to be really tough.

Hi, I'd be interested in hearing your progress. As a male myself, I have difficulty limiting myself. If you have some tips, please share.

My teacher says it's not realistic to maintain a high sexual energy level without release or transmutation and that a high level of sexual energy means that you have an abundance of energy albeit focused in the sexual. Also this is energy you are throwing to waste which could be used towards your goals.

I'm not sure about whether there is a correlation between the number of orgasms and and decrease in spiritual activity but I believe transcendence of desire is important for enlightenment.

So a month has passed and I have succeeded in sticking to the first stage of the plan. It hasn't been easy but it has been a very interesting month of exploration which has given birth to many realisations, ideas and insights.

For ease of reading I'll break this account up into subheadings and be as concise as possible.

PHYSICAL
This has proved to be a painful month. Such a severe reduction in release has had unavoidable physical consequences. I think this is a simple supply / demand issue and that my body has to adjust to the reduction in demand.

I am slightly concerned at the prospect of doing myself some damage (prostatitis) and with hindsight think it would have been safer to reduce sexual activity by 50% during the first month.

PSYCHOLOGICAL
As the 'pressure' builds I have found that there is a marked increase in sexual thoughts. After each release, the intensity of sexual thoughts dissipates again.

One technique to help me retain focus and to not get swept away with lust is to use general awareness / lucid dreaming techniques such as looking at my hands, or asking where am I? Can I fly?' whenever I feel the urge. This has been surprisingly effective.

I have become aware of just how sexual I am in terms of my thinking. I have also realised that a part of me seems to enjoy the self-torture of thinking lustful thoughts to stir up sexual energy only to resist the urge to take it further.

I have noticed a deterioration in me ability to concentrate and have found that during my day-to-day work / home life routine I often feel distracted and restless.

METAPHYSICAL
This was the most dissapointing aspect of the experiment! A day after starting the experiment I had an OBE, pretty much immediately upon going to bed. It was just an exit, following which I made a request to experience my higher self, to which I was answered with a resounding "No!". At the time, I was excited thinking that m,any OBE's were to come, but no, since then I've not had an OBE.

Worse than that though, I've experienced severe difficulty in maintaining any kind of focus in meditation. This is difficult to explain, but I can't even close my eyes and slow my breathing without either drifting off into a dream or simply falling to sleep!

I've had some fairly intense dreamstate experiences, but even these have been less frequent than usual.

I suspect that this lull in activity is due to the pyschological and physical stress of the experiment. I have faith that the good experiences will return once I settle into this new mode of being.

INSIGHTS
This is not about suppressing or repressing my sexuality and it's not about giving any aspect of it up up (despite how it appears). This is a really important point. If I had framed this experiment in terms of simply reducing masturbation and sexual activity to once per month, I wouldn't have got past the first week.

I think this experience gets to the root of alchemy as it is about refining sexual energy from its basest form to its highest form through a process of inner exploration and the intent to aspire to be the best I can be.

So what are the highest aspects of this energy: creativity, love? I don't know yet, but those are certainly the two aspects I have become aware of over the last month. Whenever I pick up my guitar, I find that a beautiful chord sequence comes to me effortlessly and when walking around town during lunchtimes I am struck by an increased empathy towards my fellow humans.

I'm acutely aware of how wrong western society (or at least society here in the UK) has got its approach to sexuality; how irresponsible music videos, TV programs and adverts are. They conspire to draw us down to experience only the basest form of sexual energy. And yet, I sense a certain smugness or arrogance about this, as if society thinks that it's clever in sexualising the young. There appears to be a tragic double-standard between the sordid contents of the media and the societal expectations of decency placed upon us. I'm struggling to express what I mean but I hope you can intuit what I'm trying to convey.

There is no quick fix to the transmutation of sexual energy from its basest to its highest quality.

SYNCHRONICITIES
Interested in improving my awareness and ability to project at will each and every night, I purchased a book called 'Dream Yoga' by Samael Aun Weor.

I have been amazed by the appropriateness of this book and stunned that it contains some detailed information about this process of sexual transmutation or tantra as he refers to it.

I won't write anything specific from the book, but would advise anybody who is interested in this thread and is interested in going through this process for themselves to get a copy of the book. It really is an interesting read.

FUTURE ACTION
On grounds of physical wellbeing I am going to continue the once-per-week regime for a further month in the hope that my supply will reduce sufficiently to then continue on the reduction process.

I'm committed to this journey. I think that every aspect of my being has to change in order to facilitate the raising of this energy so I am willing to take my time with this. I am particularly satisfied that I now appear to be in control of my sexual activity.

October 4th Report:

Another month has passed so here is my update.

PHYSICAL
My production has adapted to my reduction in activity. I have found that I have only rarely been uncomfortable. This level of activity seems to be OK.
 
PSYCHOLOGICAL
I am increasingly aware of my automatic 'sexual thinking'. Boredom is a factor and so is stress, meaning that when bored or stressed, sexual thinking provides a remedy to these conditions. I've had a particularly difficult couple of weeks and it's almost as if a part of me wants to seek solace in sexual gratification.

METAPHYSICAL
Still very disappointed. My inner life has pretty much flatlined. A few unpleasant experiences, but nothing of any significance. At this point of the experiment, I see no benefit in restricting sexual activity for the purposes of enhanced metaphysical experiences.

Focus is still difficult to hold in meditation.

Actually, the one significant thing I have noticed is the availability of the lower self during recent weeks. It is so much more earthy than my higher aspects that it can and does try and shape my behaviour. This is difficult to express in words, as it is a very abstract yet still very real phenomena.

INSIGHTS
None that are worth sharing yet!

FUTURE ACTION
At the moment I'm not committed to further reducing sexual activity. I'll keep on my current regime until such time as it feels right to change it.

Say Leswan: Have your tried breathing your sexual energy up into your brain... a form of transmutation? You do have to master diaphramatic breathing technique... you also may want to get a good book on tantric sexual techique there was a famous one by a french woman who went to india and came back with some great stuff... there is also a good movie with terance stamp - Bliss... your problem is ejaculation.


You need to learn how to have an orgasm without ejaculation.

I wanted to update this thread because I do feel it is an important topic (particularly after reading the recent biog of Crowley!!!)

I had reduced sexual activity to the point where I could have never bothered with it again. My libido completely flat-lined. I still found women attractive, but I didn't feel compelled to crack one off at every given opportunity as I had previously. I can see now that I used to be an addict!

Anyway, the flat lined libido was no good. I had been feeling very grey and lifeless. My spiritual experiences had pretty much ground to a halt too and I do believe the two things are intertwined:

• Lots of lusty thoughts, followed by lots of masturbation / sex = lots of astral experiences in lower realms.

• Few lusty thoughts, little or no sexual activity (once a month  ) = no spiritual activity.

So... I have chosen to reignite the fires within me and am hoping to find that...

• Appreciation of my sexuality and sensuality + lots of orgasms (without ejaculation) = nightly spiritual experiences!!!

We will see and I will keep this thread updated.

*EDIT - For any other male's reading this... NEVER forcibly stop yourself from ejaculating by pressing the perineum at the point of ejaculation. If you do you are risking a nasty case of orchitis and possible infertility.

It's not really worked out as I had hoped, the occurrence of spiritual journeys during sleep are as random as ever. But I am glad to have experimented in this way as it has released me from my old habits and a sex drive that was sometimes overbearing.

I have a very relaxed attitude to my sexuality now and I find I am more aware of the sexual qualities of all people and things in a way that I wasn't before. I can appreciate the potential to create new life that is innate in all living things, that bubbles up within all living things, that is the primary animating force in all living things.

I still love the female form every bit as much as I ever did, but I have found a new appreciation (or come to terms with an old appreciation) for the male form, and through this I have found that I enjoy inhabiting this physical body of mine a little bit more than I used to. I strive for it's well being and hope to improve it's health as I move into middle age.

I could be wrong , and I take that on board, but I do not believe that drawing up sexual energy, per se , from the perineum to the brow is what the magician requires; to feel, see, hear, call or fly. I think the energy drawn up the spine from the perineum is similar to a preorgasmic sort of rush but it is not exactly "sexual". I think energy is energy but it becomes sexual when used for a sexual purpose and is not sexual in nature well that is not exactly true as we know energy has gender . And when we pull red male into blue female in an alchemical marriage or union, we get the purple hermaphroditic energy which is superior to either in vibration.

But perhaps I am wrong,maybe it is sexual energy. It may a case of semantics.

I believe that when the magician stimulates the centres of the perineum this can be very arousing at first and some magicians have found that distracting because they become too aroused, and perhaps too erect to ignore, in order to continue asana and meditative trance. However, this passes.

In time, these centres can be stimulated without arousal like turning on the same faucet but deciding to turn on the cold tap or the hot tap at will. The magician may use these centres when engaging in sex and then they can turn the taps in a different way when engaging in more cerebral meditation. It is like selecting the elemental energy we call into or out of the palm. The magician can select the Hermetic energy like a pulling one particular flower from a bouquet of diverse stems in a long tall vase. So the magician selects the strand from the spine.

And it is like the nimble musician who plucks the string they choose without looking knowing its location by heart. So innately the magician selects what energy will flow from perineum to crown. And though sexual energy might be the easiest to imagine, I think it is not necessarily the one we require.

Bardon in IIH teaches that the magician must select fire to see and air to hear.
We need to bring;

water through fire to flow , to heal , to feel
fire through watery energy centres to see
earth through air centres to hear
fire heated air through earth centres to fly  
and purple through air centres to call
But are any of these sexual. I don't believe so. But the jury is out on that one.
This requires Hermetic research. All elements have a gender perhaps some of an active sexual attribute too. Perhaps the sun is actively sexual male and the moon is actively sexual female. I can not articulate a method more clearly at this time, it is innate and spontaneous in its method of execution.

But energy may become sexual in its use;
Male magicians can draw energy from the feet to the perineum and push this out of the penis during ejaculation instead of drawing it to their brow. That makes a phenomenal sensation for the partner.

I can only assume it feels incredible to both partners. One peer assured me that he and his female lover were able to switch roles with magick , also. She was able to penetrate and enter him with a subtle energy followed by her subtle energy body nesting within his own.

The receiver feels as if the magician lover has completely entered and fits inside their entire body like a sensual glove and remains intimately inside until both come crashing out of the crown together in a euphoric mutual orgasm with a bright show of auric colours. Fantastic !

Would that it would occur, each time, we might do nothing else. This eventful magician copulation is like a orchestra which requires each instrument to play
their part in time or the symphony can not be heard the way the composer wrote it. I feel this is part of the Divine Arts and that this composer is the Godhead.
And the instruments are two loving and "open" magicians, lunar and kundalini energies and the harmonious coupling of the energy centres of the magicians. By this I mean for this instrument to play the magician must be the yin to the yang of their lover.

Prior to intercourse, the female or recieving male lover can stimulate their perineum in a similar fashion to accentuate their own arousal and then become like a glove with waves of energy pulling the partner into them. Two magicians provide more pleasure to each other in this manner.

Afterwards, the ceiling and the walls can be seen to blister , melt or fall away as the crown is fully stimulated. The magicians can view other dimensions in open eyed clairvoyance. This effect is similar to the kundalini heightened seeing through eyelids clairvoyance which occurs to the near dreamstate magician but not through a small porthole instead the room becomes the portal.

In a phase of this magnitude, each night the walls melt and teachers and realms wrap around the sleepy magician welcoming them. But if the pair of lovers are both magicians the effect is more than the sum of its parts . It will be greater than 5 sitting somberly face to face in a circle. The energy is so heightened in the sacred bedchamber of 2 magicians after sex that the dresser drawer pulls bang back and forth. The ceiling and the walls open to the realms and the darkened room becomes filled for a time with a beautiful light like the green/pink sky before a tornado.

When the energy has ebbed an arch of energy appears around each magician. Lying upon the bed this seems to stretch like the zodiac belt from horizon to horizon in a ring from floor over head to floor. I have attempted to project under the floor and see if another side of that ring might appear but have not seen anything there. I suspect that going into the subetheric diminishes the vibration so significantly that this beautiful effect is no longer sustainable. That arch contains animated full coloured heads of family guardians throughout the generations. They are aware that they all appeared together they talk to each other and to the magician and if the magician is oblivious as a now sated sleeping partner can be, the other magician can witness their ring and the ring of their lovers. Curiouser and Curioser....

Serendipitiously,the only other times that this arch of heads seems to be evoked is to mark a welcome home when a magician is dying or when they concieve. That needs some research. What , exactly, stimulates this?

Art imitates life and the guardians that appear in the film, Mulan are reminiscent of this. If the magician talks to a particular head that one might be evoked in this manner, and enter the space of the magician in full body and full colour and then pop back to the arch when another is spoken to, in turn.

Sex is a medium for magick, one of many, and it is not meant to be suppressed, imho.

And in its season that male golden sun seed is fertilized by a female sperm. This female sperm is a lunar kundalini which envelopes the golden egg and the male or female magician becomes pregnant. Each time they give birth it is a few moons not like the gestation of the human embryo. The vibration begins red like the root chakra and small dwarved really. This current pregnancy is a giant watermelon of purple. It fills the belly of many magicians at this writing,as the world begins 2012.

our mind or our enlightening consciousness which we surrender to be filled with another spirit which will not be you or I ever again. Our spirit has one life. But our soul that is another matter.

Humans, ordinary muggly sorts whom have forgotten all their magick, are constantly creating too.

 Humans create angels and  demons and the magician creates angels and demons too but they also create new soul vessels. Each subsequent birth of the magician is of a higher vibration.Godhead creates souls through us in the Divine design but we shape the vessel by our words, actions, thoughts and deeds.

And we produce, eventually, a blossom on our Tree of life which bears the immortal peach like the Tale of the Monkey king. And that peach is the fruit of our toil. It is a new seed a great peach pit which is the beginning of the immortal rainbow light body.

But on the way to there, we continue to live, love, and learn and we produce less magnified souls. The magician does this consciously with will and intent to bring about a higher vibration soul line for their future incarnations manifesting venues, families, circumstances and goodwill like a small child's birthday wish as we blow out the candle we hope that our wish will come true. So the magician prepares their soul to produce another "Divine Child".But we give up the child we create it is not held by our physical arms . It is filled with a soup or punch of our soul memories and the soul memories carried by the biological father and mother and their ancestral memories too. It has within it our spiritual DNA and its own genetic DNA. And the spirit that inhabits that vessel will never be the same again. Like a snowflake, it has infinite possibilites. And it doesn't want to get lost , so it manifests identifying traits to be found by its kindred spirits across time and space.

It is the consciousness that reincarnates the self realization is what we strive for. The mind of the magician may recall the lessons passed and failed of their previous lives and their goals in future lives. And they force their signature ID upon the vessel. Perhaps they have come to prefer being male , thin, agile, intellectual, short and asian. Then they will be identified with those attributes. Perhaps they prefer to be Polynesian , tall , female and strong bodied. Then the soul comes to family that is of that genetic type.

The asexual union occurs many times baring fruits while the sexual alchemical marriage continues to be only a courtship dance. Until, eventually,the magician finds a reciprocal partner and together, they might create a soul vessel together through Sexual Alchemical Marriage as described above;

The energy drawn though the penis enters in a blue white light , a bright sapphire energy. As it emits from the crown, it becomes a reciprocal golden pink perhaps coloured by the golden cranium of the magician, which is that alchemical structure inside the scalp which will become the "golden bowl".

When a magician projects out of a chakra or other energy centre they enter a realm of that coloured energy. When they project out of a stone/cauldron they become the cosmological aspect of their soul which is that coloured energy. So, projecting out of the yellow chakra makes one enter a yellow sky and yellow earth monochromatic realm which contains within it the mindscape of the Higher Self which is also a buttery yellow.

The fact that the conjoined magicians erupt together through the golden crown is significant as the magicians can become golden solar energy in this manner. I suppose subsequent projections in this manner would yield other coloured projections for the crown is not only golden it becomes tetrapolar; ruby, emerald, silver and gold.

The Golden Crown is referenced often in the Bible as "The Golden Bowl" mostly from Revelations which is written by John the Beloved Apostle, the nephew of Christ and his favourite. John is the son of Mary Salome the sister of Christ whom is one of the female apostles.

You might think what has the Bible to do with sexual energy. But the Bible is full of sex, murder and intrigue fit for a soap opera. It is also filled with love and gorgeous Hermetic Magick,  Ascension Alchemy, Esoteric Wisdoms and Kaballahistic truths.

Ecclesiastes 12:6  Yes, remember your Creator now while you are young, before the silver cord of life snaps and the golden bowl is broken. Don't wait until the water jar is smashed at the spring and the pulley is broken at the well.  //bible.cc/ecclesiastes/12-6.htm

Don't wait until death to find your way back to source, is the admonition here. For the traditional interpretation of this passage is that the golden bowl cracks at death. But in my exegesis it also means that when the astral silver cord snaps,  it is too late to learn to fly alone. As a child we know we must learn to walk across the street alone no longer holding mummy's hand. And perhaps we yearn for that freedom. We must learn to fly back to source, too. No longer guided by the silver cord and the angels. The magician should not wait until death to return to their creator but should use that "pulley" which draws the magician like water from a well back to source.

Then they might snap that silver cord because they are confident that they know their way to and fro.We were taught to remove the cord and as a circle at home,
 we did so. And we found we could go further from the body then when tethered in that manner. It is not vital . And a new longer cord which will not snap at a short distance or vibrational measure, from the body, forms instead.

The four living creatures are the beasts of light, the Hermetic animals of the Sphinx and of the Kerubim of Ezekiel and the Golden Kerub of Solomon's Temple;
The ox, the lion, the eagle and the angel. The remainder of this passage, I can not interpret.

Revelation 15:7 And one of The Four Beasts gave to the seven Angels seven vessels full of the passion of God, who is The Life for the eternity of eternities. Amen.//bible.cc/revelation/15-7.htm - 17k

The 7 angels are the 7 voices and 7 heavens. The 7 vessels full are the 7 chakras. The life for the eternity is the immortal rainbow light body filled with Divine light.

Ecclesiastes 4:12 Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. Or Though one may not prevail, two can resist and a triple funicula is difficult to break. In Latin; et si quispiam praevaluerit contra unum duo resistent ei funiculus triplex difficile rumpitur

Imh exegesis; The silver cord snapping and the golden bowl shattering traditionally has been interpreted as the death of the physical body but the Cosmic Christ teaches it is the death of the magician's love and attachment to the physical body. The magician is taught to stretch and then break that silver cord and in exchange they receive another bond to the body which allows them to attain the higher realms and still come back to the body in life. This higher vibration cord is tricoloured and called the funicular like the word for the spinal cord. A Funicula is a name today for a cable car or cart that runs a track at a steep angle up a mountain top. The magician's funicula is their merkaba, divine chariot of fire,  which can be formed in projection without thought but manifests from sexual union in a unique fashion. Their train track is the spine on the Tree of Life specifically through the Kundalini channels which have been primed or fueled with the appropriate energies.
