I was in two relationships a while back, but still keep finding that both of my ex's names are hindering me from moving forward. There are no emotions left there for them though but I was wondering...Does anyone have any good tips on how to stop flashbacks/negative thought patterns from happening? Like say if I walk past a place where my ex was in the vicinity, his name or the energy behind his name will crop up into my mind. I've tried shielding and core shields as well as pushing the old out making space for the new energies but still this flashback is on my mind afterwards, it's not as bad as before though. I've tried cord cutting with AA Michael, although probably need to do that again at some point, but even though the cord's been cut, the  thought pattern and the flashback feeling of being trapped returns. I've also tried aura cleansing as well. If anyone could give any good examples of protection methods or shielding methods I would be very grateful...blessings,

That is so difficult.  When you find what works tell me. 

It helps to make an effort though. And I am told that eventually your mind turns to them less and less instead of daily once or twice a year, perhaps.

When you must see them at work or if you have routine conversation as a friend or have contact with them over children together,it remains a difficult proposition to turn one's mind away from an ex. Friction with an ex creates more of a cord, unfortunately than when you have a passive friendly nature with them.

Methods to try include ;
*shielding the bedroom to prevent dreamstate  projections from an ex partner
*removing jewelry from them or associated with them
*removing photos of them
*moving out of shared premises
*avoiding returning to some places

*put their name on a small strip of paper or etched on a natural object like a stone or wood and place this in a plastic egg and throw it in the back of the freezer
Think of you less and less
till think of you, I shall not
no enmity tween me and thee
let cords between us shrink and rot

Tear a photo of the two of you apart and burn his half
apart we are apart we stay
let the fire burn love away
as the flames take this part
let thoughts of you leave my heart

When the mind turns to them put up a black box around your head
visualise the box and place them on the other side

Hi C: Bruce Moen has two methods of handling negative energy... one is to 'see or hear (which ever is applicable) the being not there.' or gather all the energy in to a bag place a piece of dynamite in the bag ignite it and throw the bag out into the universe and when it explodes tell all the energy to go to its rightfull orwner.

Jambu - if you read this perhaps you could reinstate? Hmmmm. Hope you're OK.

Basically, the process outlined by Jambu has proved very powerful for me. It doesn't take away the impact of people within your lives, but it really does help you to function again in the world. In your world.

If Jambu's not able to provide her information I'll do a quick post about what it involves.

Thank you! I had been using the violet flame up until recently, but was told I had too much protection up. So only been using a violet bubble. As for the other protection methods I will see which one sits right and use it, much appreciated for the clarity of the shielding methods. I will look into those especially the rose cross, that sounds interesting most assuredly!

Once again much appreciated for the help, it does get difficult at times having to constantly block their energies. Hard work at times too, but has gotten less over the years, just on the most emotional occasions does it get bad.

Ok, so here is what I am doing at the moment to clear my energy, based upon the information posted by Jambu.

I don't like to use the term 'protection' as it connotes that there is something to be afraid of, or that we are constantly under attack. I prefer to think of the following ritual as simply doing my bit to look after my spiritual hygiene and generate some self love. Not to mention transmuting the potential of fear into a more positive inner response.

1. Command the immediate return of all your energy, your bodies, your intelligence. Command that your entire being is brought back together.

2. At this point, I also command that my entire being is brought into alignment with God and Christ, so that a clear channel is formed between me and Source, filling me with Christ energy [this is a deviation from the original post, but it feels very right to me]

3. Command the immediate departure of all energy that does not belong to you, and command that any entities that are surrounding you be lovingly returned to their perfect place [I smile here - I think smile's are important, read Mantak Chia's stuff]

4. I command that all psychic bonds connecting to me from others, or stemming from me to others are severed so that collectively, we may all find our True Self and utilise all our available energies for ascent (rather than getting pulled side to side - I see and feel this concept clearly, I hope you get a feel for it too).

5. I visualise a sheath of white energy surrounding me, - it's purpose to help me maintain soveriegn command over my energy.

6. I ask to be of service.

This doesn't take away the gut wrenching pain of heart ache, but as I said, it enables me to function better than I had been doing, to grow around the chasm left by a missing person  :{
